Mattias: First image done!

Thought I’d start this off by showing you my first image for the exhibition, and tell you a bit about the process.

I started by using Raquel as model. Watching her transform into a wolf was quite an experience, and getting her to hold at different stages of the transformation long enough for me to draw her was a bit hard, but she made it excellently in the end.

In the next phase, when I added background, I realised it should really be the other way around, so I mirrored the image, juxtaposing the wolf with the city and the human with the woods. Like no one gets to really feel at home…

I still felt that is didn’t really feel finished yet, so I added some structure and played around with color (we decided that we can only use black/white/red) to reach the style that I will use for all of my images for the exhibition:
